Richard Guerard, a founding member of Guerard and Krasner LLC, focuses his practice on real estate transactions, zoning, entitlement and development, real estate tax complaints, business and commercial representation. He has successfully managed the entitlement process for properties in more than 50 suburbs and counties, which included more than 250 zoning and entitlement matters. Mr. Guerard is a member of the Bar for the Illinois Supreme Court and has served as Chairman of numerous real estate-related committees through the DuPage County Bar Association, as well as being a past president of the DuPage County Bar Association. He is a past president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Fox Valley (1998) and the Attainable Housing Alliance (2004), a past director of the Northern Illinois Home Builders Association (2011-2023), and a past director of the Illinois State Builders Association.

Mr. Guerard has authored numerous articles on real estate development and related topics and speaks extensively on these topics. He has been a speaker at more than 150 seminars for the Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Illinois Bankers Association, Attorney's Title Guaranty Fund, and various bar, banking, broker, and professional associations on commercial lending, corporation, broker, and real estate law. He served as an instructor for the Northern Illinois University Department of Finance (1976-1982). Mr. Guerard has received the highest available rating for legal ability, adherence to ethical standards, professional reliability, and diligence by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc.
